The OSU Seed Lab, part of a leading university in Agriculture Science, is a one-stop seed testing lab for a rich diversity of species and tests for Certified, Non-Certified, and ISTA customers. We can test according to AOSA (Association of Official Seed Analysts), ISTA (International Seed Testing Association), and Canadian Methods and Procedures for Testing Seed. Tests and evaluations can also be done for specific requirements, such as for Australia, New Zealand.
We are the Official seed testing laboratory of the State of Oregon and may be known for testing Oregon Certified seed, but we test much more than that! We can test your seed samples that are not certified, meaning any seed sample you take and want tested - we can do that!
The majority of samples do come from within Oregon, but we can test samples from other states and countries. We have received samples from as far away as Alaska, North Carolina, Florida, Uruguay, and Australia.
Testing since 1909, we use cutting-edge equipment and methods for every test to provide informative data. Our expert services include mill-checks, purity, germination, tetrazolium, moisture, growout and much more. We can customize testing to help you with all your testing needs!
